Felt art(CraftED)
In May and April a girl called Gabbie came in and taught us how to Felt. At first everyone was confused and everyone had loads of questions. After all the questions Gabbie showed us how to Felt. First we started of with a simple felt ball. Then we done a self portrait of ourselves!(Obviously made out of felt). Secondly after all the weeks Gabbie said we were ready to make a huge felt art piece….Our class suggested a lot of ideas! We also did democracy so that it would be fair and no one would be sad or mad. So I am going to tell you what we needed for the big felt piece. We used a lot of cotton, lots of water and only one bar of soap! It took a long time since we had to throw it and it made a lot of noise! The weird part of that session was that no one heard the noise. But after all those shenanigans, we had to roll it 80 or 60 times (whatever the number was it was a lot!) Then we had to throw it about 20 times and it was very exhausting! After all that work we had to let it dry. It took about three or two weeks to dry. But at the end it was all worth it since in the Open Day the Taoiseach saw it and the mayor (well the old one) ‘Mary Byrne’ At the end it was very rewarding since it was tough but fun.
