Intercultural May
Last month was Intercultural May, Alder Class was learning about Slovenia because we got in touch with a Slovenian school and our whole school is learning about other countries too. We got in touch with a Slovenian school and learnt from there, we went on a website called Twin Space where we did a project on Ireland and the Slovenian school did a project on Slovenia. We took their information on Slovenia and they took our information on Ireland and we went into groups and made a project on Slovenia. For our projects we had different topics like Music, Art , Food and more . We even made a timeline on Slovenian History, we could make videos, posters, cookbook and a dictionary. Slovenia sent us a song called “Bartita po morju plava” and we sent an Irish song called “Molly Malone” and sang it in assembly and sent in a video of is singing the song and they sent us a video of them singing “Molly Malone”. We put our projects on the display board for everyone to see. We saw everyone else projects and they were great. We also wore clothes from our country. So that is what we did for Intercultural May , my highlight is when we learnt “Bartita po morju plava” and it was an amazing time. -Ananya
